car shacks at around 50 mph

hi, I have recently changed back to my snow tired and I have starting to notice that my steer wheels shacks at around 50-60 mph
wondering if it's because the tires are not balanced (new tires) or could my brakes are getting bad? what are the symptons for the brake disc going bad?

Thanks

I had a Honda Accord LXi that had warped rotors...my front end would vibrate like HELL when I put on the brakes....

I don't know about what you got going on...sounds more like tires aren't balanced...but I'll let a mechanic give you a better opinion...

i'm really clueless though.

If they're shaking when brakes are applied, then its probably the rotors. If its at a constant speed, then you most likely need alignment, and your tired balanced.

p.s. Its spelled "shakes"

High speed balance your tire! That will stop the shakes.

yeah, cause that's what fixed my wife's shakes (her pathfinder above 60mph...)

come to think of it.

get your tires balanced...you could probably use a tire rotation too...

don't let the people that do it talk you into buying anything, just get the balanced, then see if the problem goes away...

it should clear it up.

Discount Tire will do it for free.

Again if it shakes under braking = rotors

If it shakes while cruising down the road = wheel balancing

It is extremely rare to experience vibration due to a needed alignment.

One more thing, store your snow tires on top of each other, not standing up side by side. Wrap them in glad bags.
