Price for these Nissan Services??
Price for these Nissan Services??
I took my car in for service this morning, and received a call shortly after for the following. Replacement of fan belt, and front brake pads (which need balancing of the rotors).
i have a 2000 se with 36,000. This shiet is coming out to belt:$130
brakes:$240 w/ rotor balance. and my front left headlight socket is faulty because of my changed bulb. Do those two prices sound right? i was just expecting an oil change, check some some stuff and thats it?
Anyone have these same experiences? I have no fuggin clue how i'm going to pay for this shiet. AHHHHH

You shouldn't need belts at 36K, maybe one of them is indeed cracked. Ask them why they are being replaced, service interval is 60K.
It's very possible you need a brake job. By balancing rotors I assume they mean resurfacing them. $240 is steep for that service.

Sorry i meant resurfacing. i never got a chance to ask them about the belt. i got there just in time for closing, so it was kind of a rush rush, and plus the courtesy van guy was mad at me. the total came out to be 420, which included the above mentioned, a quick lube, change rear brake bulb, add some fluids here and there. i wasn't expecting the belt to be changed. does the way the car is driven effect the belt??? thanks for the response.
