Went from Eibachs to H&Rs

Also changed my stock shock/struts for Tokicos. The ride feels a whole lot smoother. I don't have to try to avoid every little road imperfection like i used to do. Overall, I'm satisfied except for three things:
1 - I thought these new stuts would be the remedy for a small jiggle in the front suspension; jiggle is still there.
2 - Handling/Stifness was sacrificed for the smoother, softer ride. and,
3 - Since the new springs haven't settled, my car looks much higher than before.

P.S. Props to Maximum Tuning for doing the install for $100.

I plan on upgrading my suspension with H&Rs and AGXs in the spring. From what you said, it seems to me that you are better off with the H&Rs, since now you "don't have to try to avoid every little road imperfection like i used to do".

Is your ride, overall, stiffer than stock with the new setup, and why did you change from the Eibachs?

I am hoping the best for the Illuminas because I hate not enough shock. You should be pleased with the new setup, stock shocks suck.

even when the spring settle you car will look much higher than before. H&Rs dont really seem to do very much.

i see a slight improvement. but compared to eibachs the H&Rs will always look really high. i didnt do the finger test for stock but now i have about 2.5 fingers in back and 3 fingers in front.

I changed from eibach's b/c I do a lot of driving in Manhattan (potholes everywhere), and they were getting very annoying. If you live in an area w/o many road imperfections, I'ld recommend the eibachs (stiffer ride w/ much better handling), but if you live in an area like NYC, H&R's are perfect.

P.S. Coming from eibachs, the ride feels completely stock to me now.

K Pazzo 6,

What are you running for struts/shocks? It doesn't say on your home page. I noticed a link to KYB, but I couldn't find on your page where it states you have a specific KYB product.

Thanks

I am in the same boat. I have loose 2 finger in the rear and a loose 3 finger in the front with h&r's. Possibly aftermarket struts lower the car a little bit more

Struts won't affect ride height.

Yeah I love the H&Rs too. I am using stock shocks though and the ride is great and the car handles so much better too. As you mentioned that you still have the jiggle in the front even with Tokicos. That was the reason why I left stock shocks on. Didn't feel like spending money on the shocks that don't really improve ride or stability of the car.

The jiggle I have is not related to the shocks, I think it may be the suspension cradle or someting. Something feels loose behind the wheel. Nissan ofcourse can never duplicate the symptoms.

My car has H&R Springs and my front is a lot higher then the rear. Did you guys remove the rubber bushing in front where the spring sits on the top plate? I am thinking about cutting my front 2 Springs. Wish my front was even with the back Anyone has any Ideas?? what about Spring Clamps to compress the springs a bit

Struts can affect ride height. You are just thinking of the replacements available are the same size as stock.
