Anybody installed a mesh grill painted black?

I have the mesh grill and valence that Stillen sells in my bin 'o car parts and I can't decide whether or not to install it. I mostly like the way it looks on cars in painted silver or chromed, but I'm thinking I'd like a less obtrusive flat black look...a little more OE if that makes sense.

Anybody out there paint a mesh grill black on their 5th gen? I'm trying to improve the sports sedan look of my Max but I want to keep it subtle.

Leaving yourself WIDE OPEN with that post.

Really though, not sure how good it would look without some kind of emblem or other 'bright' item to break up the look (kind of like the Nissan logo on the stock grill).

It might also look better on a black car than the grey you have.

Newman tried the black mesh grille; I don't know if he kept it.

Would likely put a Nissan emblem back on...I agree with you on that.

I keep trying to picture this in my head. I'm pretty sure I don't want to put the grill on silver...just can't decide on leaving the OE grill (body color matched) or going with black mesh. Hmmmmmmmm...

If you not planning on cutting off the factory grill, I'd leave it chrome or powdercoated. You can see through a black painted grill easier and you can see the ugly factory grill right behind. Otherwise if you are, a black grill looks nice and classy.
