Painfully squeaky door (causes cringes)

Hey i have a question. My max and two of my other friends' maxs (both 95s) have the same problem. Our rear drivers side doors squeak like you cant imagine. I tried hitting it with white lube, but nothing. Any of you have the same problem? Is is some sort of common problem? Thanks.

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM X2 !!!! I have a 95 maxima and both my back doors are extremely difficult to open. Its more than a squeaking noise its like a deep grinding noise. My friends 96 gle has the same problem but not as bad as mine. Ive tried cleaning and lubing the hinges but no luck. Any help would be appreciated to help me and cantgofast, or any one else with this problem.

My mom's 96 has this issue; I greased the heck out of the hinges, but it looks like the entire hinge is rusted through; I am not sure what to do except get a whole new hinge, re-weld, etc. Not a feasible solution really. Maybe I could break out the steel wool....

Here is what you need to do:
Get a part called the rear door check links, they are about $18-20 a piece, I bought mine from Jerry Rome Nissan. You will need to take the rear door apart, but just the inside cover. It is not too hard to do. I had the same problem with the noise and the difficulty with opening and now they work like brand new. I should have done a write-up with pics, oh well

Rear Door Check: Part# 82430-51U00 about $20 each

My car has the same problem. Luckily I hardly ever carry any rear passengers. Door hardly ever gets used.

I noticed it the first year I got the car. Best fix was actually to clean all the old grease off. Open/close the door a few times. Clean. Repeat until pretty much grease free. Then I used some fine steel wool to clean it and applied synthetic grease. Open/close. apply more grease. Repeat until noise is pretty much gone. It's still a little louder than the front doors, but not as bad as it used to be.

Don't use white lithium. It's not thick enough.

If your rear doors get used a lot then you'd probably be better off replacing the parts.

It is too embarassing opening my door at skool and having everyone look over at my car. I am going to get it fixed ASAP! Thanks!

get a lambo back doors. all you need is 4 X hydraulic shocks and 2 X hinges.

and a creative brain.
at least that's what I'm gonna do if my doors blow off.

My goodness, and I thought it was just me. So synthetic grease does the trick? Any particular brand to use?

not that it will ever happen, but nissan should do a recall and replace those parts for us if everyone pretty much has this problem.

This is a known problem with the 4th gens. I thought i was alone until i spoke to a nissan mechanic. ODDLY enough, the rear ones go before the front ones do... i didnt care to figure out why... just had them both replaced

My rear doors would squeak like crazy when I bought the car. I just took a can of WD40 and sprayed it on the hinges. The noise stopped, but came back.

This time I sprayed it at the top, bottom, and all the sides. Now the noise is gone It would've been embarassing if my friends would've heard it
