Yet another problem when I start my max...help please>>>
I turn the key and I hear the engine crank but it doesn't start. I have to like floor the gas to make it start, and the belts squeel sooooo loud when it finally catches on. It's gonna be so embarrasing at school tomorrow when this happens. I know it's not my starter because if it was, then it wouldn't even crank. What could this be???
I took it to my bro's shop today and he did some checks: sparkplugs-fine; injectors-fine; starter-fine. He doesn't even know what it could be. Can anyone give my some suggestions
I even cleaned the tb and didn't help.

Hmm this kinda sounds like a problem a buddy of mine was having, though he does not have a maxima, i thought i would share anyway, even though its probably nothing to do with it. So anywho...my friend drives a 95 Avenger and one morning he woke up and went to start he car and it was doing the same thing yours is doing sounds like it wants to go but takes a good amount of pedal pumping to get it going, this continued to happen through out the day until when he was leaving work he could not get it started. So he called AAA and they came out to check it out and the guy sat there for a few seconds check some little things out, etc and then after like 3 minutes of hardcore pedal pumping he got it to turn over. Turns out somehow the car was super flooded and he had gas in his oil, we knew right away we pulled the engine dip stick out and you could smell the gas very strongly. He changed his oil and filter, car works fine now. Again it probably is not even close to what your problem is, just sounded the same hehe
