How do i tell?

 

the vg engines came in the 89-94 gxe and 89-91 se maximas. the ve came in the 92-94 se maximas only. you can also look at the firewall and there will be a silver badge that has some info like vin, paint code, engine and tranny code, etc. look for vg30e or ve30de on that badge. also look at the picture in my sig. if your intake looks like that (minus the word turbo ) you have the vg, if it doesn't look like that you have the ve.

Put simply, if you have a 89-94 GXE, then you have a VG. If you have a 89-91 SE, then you have a VG. If you have a 92-94 SE, then you have a VE.
