18's on Eibachs and Tokicos

I got a friend who had 18's on his I30, with his suspension consisting of Eibach SPrings and Tokico gas shocks. Hes a good friend of mine, and he traded in his I30 for an IS300 , anyways, he wants to sell all his stuff and I am very interested. He told me that the setup he had with his suspension and his rims was quite comfortable. His car rode very well according to him, but I've been readong alot of bad things about the setup. I've looked left and right and dont have a definite answer on what I should do. The suspension now has around 7k on them, but the deal I am getting is real good. What do you all think? Yes I have searched, but if you find something I havent seen, Ill be happy to read it. I basically want to knwo your opinion on teh Eibachs and Tokicos with 18s. I know for a fact I cant get a better deal on the rims and tires, but would feel weird having them on my max on stock setup. 4x4 here I come! Thanks.

Well i have heard some evil stories about the tokico shocks, the eibach springs i believe are relativly close to a stock ride, don't quote me on that. I would ****** the 18's get some kyb agx's and the eibach's and leave the tokicos out. Im not speaking from expierence, but i have read bad things.

Yeah I heard somewhat the same thing. The 18s are a sure thing, cant beat that with a stick. Ive heard that the Eibachs are close to stock, which is good for the smooth ride feeling. The only thing I'm woried abou are the Tokicos. Im not sure whether to put them on until tehy blow (God forbid, knock on wood) and then replace them with stock until I can afford KYBs and AGX, or just not put them on at all. Basically Tokicos are my only worry, Im ok with the Eibachs, unless I should be worried about those too

Eibachs close to stock ride??? Hmm... no, actually the opposite.
If you want smooth ride, don't go with Eibachs. If you want race car feel, then Eibachs is the ticket!
