2k auto tranny filter

Has anybody flushed their auto tranny and replaced the filter? The service manual I have doesn't say anything about the filer and I'd like to know what I'm in for before I take the pan off the tranny. Any help of advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

2K Auto Tranny Filter

The 2K Maxima has no filter. It has a fine strainer which comes clean when you have a flush done somewhere. Just informed of this by my service writer at Bankston Nissan.

Did he quote you a price for flushing? I replaced my fluid at 40K but, would like to have the system flushed and replace the fluid with synthetic.

He tried the old 30,000/60,000 service routine on me for hundreds of dollars but I don't need spark plugs and all that crap. I think that buy the time you separated out the "flush and fill", it's about $100. However, synthetic oil will raise the price substantially, I would imagine.
