Are all the DIN slots on our cars the same size?

I bought a HKS DIN slot gauge panel which I was planning on installing in the very bottom slot, closest to the cigarette lighter, since my EQ takes the DIN slot under the radio.

Are all three DIN slots the same size? I would think so, but at looking at other members' setups, the bottom slot looks a little smaller.

Thanks

I remember fitting the "pocket" on all 3 DIN spots and it worked... I know the HKS fits on top 2 ones... On the bottom one, you MAY need to widen it out a little... but I haven't tried.

Where do you get the HKS DIN gauge panel from? I was thinking about doing this, as I just recently removed my bose system.

Thanks,
Ted

Yep.

Well, I guess I'll find out when I get the DIN panel, I don't know what I'm going to do if it doesn't fit. I guess as long as it's wide enough and able to be screwed in on the sides, I can modify the height.

Secure it in the mounting bracket before dremeling out the 52mm hole... You have a little leeway if you have to move it up or down...

But first measure if the outside of the 52mm gauges will clear the existing opening below.

I'm under the impression there is no way to secure the individual gauges to the HKS panel. In that case, I can see how it would be better to mount the panel first. How did you keep the gauges attached to the panel? Double-sided tape?

I meant leeway dremeling out the hole (up/down)... You can use the brackets that come with your gauges... I didn't need any because I slowly dremel out the holes so they are very snug.
