Did you put the fuse back in? I just did the install today myself and it went very smoothly.

Thats really weird. I dont think that would have anything to do with the pump. If the starter isnt working there is an electrical problem. Is the battery hooked up right?

You have to be missing something. Just sleep on it and see what you can find tommorow. Good luck.

Nevermind noticed that you live in canada. Not much i can do down here in DC. All i can say is have a friend look at it and maybe they can see something you missed. Also write down all the steps you took to installing the pump. Maybe i can help you there.

Thats basically what i just did and no problems. Do you know if your battery is fine? You could have another problem that is not related to the pump.

if it's not cranking at all, I think you did the fuel pump fine... it seems more like a starter that blew on ya, or you're not getting juice from the battery... Make sure the battery is attached correctly. It's not the fuel pump fuse because it would still crank without it.

the battery is fine because the radio is working, so i think it's starter.
So what do you think, should i buy new starter??? or maybe it's a fuse or relay ??? any ideas???? starter is so $$$$$$$$$

thanks.

Tap the starter with a hammer and try again.

Be aware that hitting the starter too hard with a hammer may damage a good starter on the new cars these days... if you have to, start with small "taps" as Tony suggested.

Try this first though... Have someone watch the headlights (or if you see the lights against a wall) as you try to start the car... If it dims alot (or goes out) your battery is low... I assumed you already tried either jumpstarting the car or recharging the battery?

Here's a stupid question... are you sure you are fully depressing the clutch pedal (manual tranny) or have the tranny in PARK (auto)?
