pics of 2k2 y-pipe

Anyone have a side by side pic of warpspeed's 2k2 y-pipe and a stock one showing the diameter difference? If the precats are not removed, the diameter of the pipe must be the only difference, correct?

I don't have any 'side by side' pictures, but I can tell you the main differences would be the flex section, the attempt to keep a 'steady' 2.5 width and the POWER you feel!

The pipes coming from the flex when split are 2" OD and the pipe connecting to the cat is 2.5". The main difference is the flex section is about half the size of stock and the vertical pipe that connects to the precats is one bend instead of 3 90 degree bends. The reason for the stock being 3 90 bends is b/c it has to be the same length as the pipe running to the headers. Matt

When you guys get the old pipes off, if you could post some pics comparing the two side by side, I would greatly appreciate it.

Where did you buy your y pipe or are you planning on doing some work to the 2k-2k1 one.

He got it from Warpspeed Performance.

Check out the Group Deal forum for a discount on the aluminized y pipe.

I got mine two weeks ago and put it on last week. I took some pics of each of the pipes individually, but they came out messed up (I think there was grease on the lens). Mine came from Warpspeed. I also threw a new cat and B pipe on there.

Did you get the aluminized steel or stainless steel. In your other post you said you had a stillen rear section and said it sounded great. Can you please expand on that. Thanks

I got the Aluminized steel. They don't have the other types in stock at this time. As far as the sound goes...there is a slight rumble at start-up. Today, I started the car up just to let it warm up and I did not even hear it while it was idleing. At WOT, you can hear a sound...I wanna say more of a throaty rumble than anything. Hard to describe. It is not ricey at all.

Didn't Larry from down here in Houston just had his installed? I remember him posting dyno sheets as well.

Yes, I installed mine back in September. Here is a pic of the way it looks before install.

I made a write up of my installation and dyno. Should be able todo a search and find it. Let me know if anybody has any questions.
