well... i actually jus finished painting my engine bay (blue + black, post pic later), i also painted my popcharger intake... but anywayZ today's driving was really ackward, usually my 3rd gear @ 3000rpm would output 60mph, but today it was only 52mph the car is in regular condition, jus a normal driving in the afternoon, all warmed up... maybe i didn't tightened my intake when i rebolt? or maybe i'm runnin low on gas? (it was @ empty but the light wasn't on) someone tell me waz goin on?!?!?!?!

yes...3rd should be 4000 rpms at 60 mph. 4th should be 80 mph at 4000 rpms. unless you're s/c'ed or turboed???

He never said which transmission he had...this would make a difference...

Was there anything unusual with the car when you were in Overdrive? (If you're not in overdrive at 60MPH then you have a bigger problem.) You should be pulling about 2200 RPM @60MPH in Overdrive when the torque converter has locked up. 3000RPM in Overdrive should be about 90MPH.

 

Yeah me too. I usually cruise in 4th at like 60, but at 3000 RPM i'm at like 50 sometin in 3rd gear.
