Dealer Damage????

I just got back from getting an oil change on my 2k3 Maxima SE and after an hour and a half of waiting they tell me that they bent my right splash shield bringing my car down from the lift and had to replace it. Can anyone tell me what the splash shield is and if I should contact a manager of the dealership.

Do you have 'mud flaps' on the car? Maybe they are referring to one of those?

I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, but if you feel you must call them, just act as if you simply wanted to notify the manager of the incident. Since they fixed it, there is not much other than an apology they need to do for you.

I think they mean the black plastic piece under the front of the car. It is sorta big and if you look under the front of the car or down in the engine bay you can see it. If they messed it up and replaced it, then I don't see a need to complain. Just make sure they didn't F ck up anything else.

But, plastic doesn't bend (at least permanently), it ususlly cracks. Unless you heat it up. Did they show you the old part?
