Alpine Development supercharger for 2000-2001

i wrote an email to Alpine development in regards to producing a supercharger for the 2000-2001 maxima and this was their reply:

3.0L (V6) `95-`99/`00-`01 Nissan Maxima?

We had not planned on doing an application for this vehicle, but after the last several days worth of e-mails, may have to concede a strong need for this application. If the flood of inquiries for this model continue, we WILL look at doing something for this vehicle, but because of all of the other projects currently in development at this time, realistically, could not even begin until sometime in late April. So, keep those inquiries coming!

So if we keep emailing them like crazy they will get our chance to shine with a supercharger of our own with a warrenty...i hope this goes through.
Everybody cross their fingers

Might want to post that email link so people can just jump right on and drop a line. Any idea whether this would be better than the options we've got? I mean, we may have a working mans turbo sometime soon and that's hard to beat

well, tell them to make sure they price it lower than Stillen's..if it will cost the same, then why would you buy from Alpine?

I don't think you understand...they would be coming out with an Aqua Cooled Eaton Roots type blower. This is totally different from the non-intercooled, centrifugel type blower that Stillen offers. I would much rather have instant aqua cooled boost then a gradually building turbo that isn't tried and true like the supercharger and can risk overboosting and blowing up your engine.

Woah. I was unfamiliar with that type of SC. Actually, I still have no clue what you are talking about, but it sounds neat!

my understanding is that it uses water run through a mini radiator to cool the charge. Nice thing with this is this "rad" can be hidden up say behind the front bumper out of sight as it doesnt rely on air near as much as a conventional intercooler.
