I was wondering what clutch to go with. I have 80k on my stock clutch and its starting to slip so i need to replace it anyway. I am planning to supercharge in the very near future...what clutch is working for you??

Just remember that the Maxima has a weak transmission in the 250+hp range, and that the clutch is designed to be the weak link in the transmission. If you drive a powerful car hard, it's better for the clutch to slip than to destroy gears in the transmission with a strong clutch.

I'm not SC'd yet, but I'd go Clutchmaster. I've heard that the unorthodox racing is crap, the Centerforce doesn't last very long, and I can't find anyone with an ACT. My Cluthcmaster is awesome. I also plan on SC'ing when I get the extra $$$. I've also been told by all the clutch manufacturer's that the Aluminum Flywheel severly lessens the life of the carbon/kevlar clutch. Besides, with a SC, who needs the aluminum flywheel?

ACT street disc. Clutch has like 6000 miles on it and is as tight as the day I bought it. (tight = instant engages for you sicko's out there)

I have the ACT, but during the break-in period it slowly started engaging higher and higher- now it engages at the top.

Doesn't feel like it's slipping tho. Maybe I just need to do the pedal adjustment thing...

I may go with the exedy here soon, I beat the crap outta my car and my stock clutch with ~10K is horrible, I think it's the key value tho. I plan to go SC once outta school, and I hear good things about the exedy

I wont argue with you on the clutchmaster because Mardigrasmax has one but he has a 6 puck clutch in his car and it grabs. If you cant find anyone on the org that has an ACT you have serious issues. The ACT owners dont have nothing to say about the clutch other then it grabs and is a great clutch. I myself have one, Ramius, Lurchdog, Nismo2020, gambit2083, Sprintmax and Max4speed is about to get one I cant remember all the names. You have sealawyers that post and talk bad about the ACT here and there, but guess what one of two things happened 1. They dont know how to drive a 5 speed or 2. The installer did not install it properly which led to the destruction of the clutch itself.

1. I'm running 9 psi.
2. Got an ACT street.
3. Love it.
4. No problems.
5. I don't abuse the tranny or clutch. Well, okay, I have been known to chirp second occasionally.
