L.E.D. for Driver's Window Switch

(really can't understand WHY blue LED's are popular - they're like fluffy dice of the '70s
). BigTip: Rice ain't Nice
Remove door switch, go to RadioShack & match up new LED. However, don't remove the resistor or you'll blow your new LED (resistor to reduce 12v to 2v is approx 560ohms).

A condom covered bulb...radio and some of the switches.
and lastly is the actual piece that has the writing on it (such as with the hvac lights and such) have a green coating on the other side of them. You can scrape off that coating if you take the plastic cover off.
So with white it will work prett easy but if you want colored buttons then just get a good sharpie in that color and re color the button on the side that you scrape the green off.
I did some testing with this in blue and it looked good but I decided to just stick with the green and not worry about it.
I would not advise anyone to just go scraping off the color of their buttons without having a spare though...you may not like the look after all.

My guess (based on TV experience) is that red & orange (and to some extent, blue) tends to 'bleed' when you're tired & could be too similar to street lighting making it harder to read when over-tired, whereas green and white/blue is easier to read.
And if you wanna be a rice boy, be a rice boy!. I just don't get the look, thats all.

)Experience only comes from having to fix these things & not having the money or the trust to let some grease monkey to do it right! I bought my Max so I wouldn't have to spend time working on my car - except I like this thing so much I'm actually enjoying having to do the little fixes
Wait until I post my "how to" on replacing drivers side window switch relays - saving you NZ$300 or so on a new switch
