Well, I went to get my Koni's installed by Turbo95Max today, and we get through with all 4 of them and when we are setting the torques to spec, one of the front bolts cracks and there is promply fluid everywhere. . . Needless to say, the strut died instantly. . . Thank goodness Turbo had a backup at his house or I would be in some serious **** right now. . . I guess I will call tomorrow and see about replacing it under warrenty. . .

Thanks Kev, was good to see you, Jane and Daniel Yeasterday also

They are going to do a warrrenty exchange. . . Pretty much buy the strut and return the old one for warrenty. . . If Koni warrenties it, they I get credit back. . . The replacement should be here by wednesday. . . Now I get to figure out how to pull the old koni out of the assembly.

Oh yeah, forgot about the pulling part. I guess you can pull REAL hard or use a screwdriver and hammer to get it out. Make sure you don't damage the strut.

Hey the screw at the bottom was good for something. . . Just undid it and hammered the strut out of the housing. . . Pretty easy if I must say so myself. . . Oh and about the turning right thing. . . I am doing my best to find roads that have a lot of right turns. . . It is a lot of fun but if it is followed by an immediate left, then I have to get the car slowed somehow. . .

Haha...I talked to Matthel today and asked about how your Koni installation went. He just laughed and said "It's a long story..." hehe Well...now I know =) Anyway good luck on your ride. Kev, Jane, and Daniel dropped by yesterday?!? I was planning to drop by too but I had to run errands for my dad. =( Anyway, hope to see all of you soon! Kev/Jane - I bet you had lots of fun in HK!!

Thanks, We have made tentative plans to put the last one in on Thursday, that is assuming that I get it on wednesday like I was promised. . . You would have been laughing at them when they were putting a stock strut back on. . . He had to wheel the car out of the garage, because the shop closed, and put it up on the stock jack and replace it like that. . . I was suprised that they could do it. . . Matthel did an excellent job on the car though with what I have installed and after this fiasco, anything that might have problems like that again, I am sure I will be talking to him again. . . I think he might never want to touvh my car again after this though.

heheh...fun fun...no. anyways, ill work on your car again Garth. Ive had cars with much more probs. Prolly gonna have to use the shop's spring compressor again and will end up jacking it up and doing it on the ground.
I woke up this morning SOOOO sore. After doing your install and dinner, i went home and ended up helping my neighbor work on their car also...

Maybe we can make a deal with your boss. . . If he lets us use a lift for the short time it would take to install it, I'll get my wheels aligned afterward, as this is definately necessary I realized today, at the shop. That would be what, like $60 to the shop for all 4 wheels? I think he may go for it. What do you think?

I think that last hour is what made you sore. . . Trying to install that strut using the spare jack seems like probably the most difficult way to do this sort of thing.
