VG30i or VG30e

hey i guys i went to this link http://www.courtesyparts.com/specs/vin.html
and it says i have the VG30i engine and on i thought that the 1989 GXE model came with the VG30E SOHC. I just want to know what does the last letter mean or are they the same

that's a typo. note there's no VG30E listed anywhere else in that list?
you have a VG30E.

I think the VG30i was in the early Pathfinders... till 90 or 91. Throttle body injection?
