VE Coil Packs

I pulled the harness off of all three front coil packs today, and nothing happened. I think I may be on to whats making my car run like ****... When I unplugged any one of the back coils, the car took a dive and tried to stall. I guess running on 2/6 cylinders would do that to a car.

If you have 2 cylinders not firing, your car will die.

Try going through and pulling them, one by one, if one makes no difference, then you must replace it.

Do the same with the injectors.

Also change your plugs.

Have you changed your pcv valve? should

How about your cat? or muffler? have you had that tested, my car was running like crap and finally started not wanting to run, took it to the shop and they found out it was a plugged cat. The Nissan dealer couldnt even figure that out.

Also, check your timing...if you do all this and you still have problems, let me know and I can fire some more stuff at you

I would also run the ecu, to see if you have any codes. Usually it will store codes and not even have a check engine light, there is a good how to in any manual and it will show you what the codes mean, pretty easy.

That's just the thing. I've got the whole front bank unplugged and I don't notice any difference. I unplugged one at a time, and finally the whole bank. You would think that this would kill the car, but not mine. Maybe I have a diesel? Lol

Injector Load Balance is what I expect. slight drop after each is unplugged.

No codes in the ECU.

I'm taking it to an exhaust shop this week for a (possibly) unrelated issue.
