GD: Imported OE Nissan Key(w/o chip) for 4th Gen , Possibly 3rd Gen

I bought this blank factory key(w/o chip) from Nissan dealership while I was in Taiwan to see if it'd work on our Maximas. Got the key copied here and works perfectly. This key is made of the same material as US spec Nissan OE keys. It is compatible with any Nissan vehicle that uses the black oval-shaped handle OE key.

Since a few guys posted interest on the key in the General Forum. Here's the groupdeal:
Price is $17.50 SHIPPED to anywhere within US
Canada or US territories (HI, PR): $21.50 USD SHIPPED
No minimum order required
Groupdeal expires Feb. 21st, 2003 (I'll need 2 weeks to get the order from Taiwan)
Payment(PayPal, MO) must be received no later than Feb 21st
All orders will be filled between Feb. 26 and March 7

Attn: 3rd gen Maximas
I can't get a definite answer from the Taiwan dealerships whether the same key will work on your cars because 3rd gen Maximas are not sold over there. Dmontzmax has volunteered to take a chance to make a copy to test out on his car once the keys come in.

Any questions, post here or email me at ange@redlinemax.com

Thanks for reading,
Ange

Then you don't have the chip. If you did have an immobilizer chip in the key. The new key wouldn't start the car.

The picture of the key above is the one that 99's have. They have the chip, the one in the picture that is for sale does not have the chip. It is a nice key, I would buy it if I didnt have the chip in mine. SOMEONE BUY THIS KEY!

Click here for a pic of a key w/a chip. This is for the 20th AE 5th gen but all 5th gens are the same w/o the 20th AE center piece that is. They are all black and I am sure the 4th gens w/chips are the same. Notice the blue area on the bottom.

I cannot believe no one bought this key already. This is real nice and for a very sweet price. Hey Angie, how come you didnt think of us chip heads?

Hmmm...I might be in for two. I really don't like the ugly oval keys that my car has. It's funny that we upgrade our keys, but I guess every little detail is important!

Later,
-Nick

Thanks Donald.
Keys have been mailed out of Taiwan over the weekend. I should have it by my birthday (March 7)

Will keep everyone who prepaid for their keys updated once I get the goodies.

TurDz- I haven't gotten MO or PayPal from you. Lemme know what's up.

Got my package today!

I think the key will work Ange, they look identical, I will let you know what the locksmith says, but shouldnt be any problems.

I am going to put the NISMO badge under my pillow at night and leave it in the package.

so the question is, will 3rd gen keys work on 4th gen molds? YES, THEY WILL!!! I went to home depot to get copies made for my 93 and 97 Maximas...they both used the same blanks. They will work, guaranteed.
