What all transmissions will bolt onto the 2nd gen SE? I need a new one, and I was wondering what my options are and what to look for.

The transmissions are pretty much the same from 85-99, just some minor changes from model to model. I recommend going with a 3rd gen 5-speed, which I have done. It's almost a straight swap with the exception of the shift linkage and speedometer, and backup light harness.
