Uh oh............
yup, I've read about it, seen it, and my conclusion....very disappointed!!! Definently not worth the $300 I was once going to pay to get it. I've heard SO MANY bad reviews about it also, that I'm even afraid to experiment with it if they lowered the price. Basically it pulls in more air, but does the engine really need THAT much air, though it would probably work pretty good in-line on a cold air intake, but then I realized is it worth $300 for 5hp+(and thats not even a garunteed value), nope, I'd avoid even trying it unless the prices get lowered(free??) some how.........just my $.02!!!

Think Before you SPEAK
Da max. These bad reviews you speak of are of people who have no idea what product they are talking about. Your suggestion about how much air does an engine need anyway. What is that supposed to mean? The more air the better! Fact a 3.0 liter engine injests about 300 cubic feet of air per minute@6000 and this unit moves 750 cubic feet of air in that minute. This equates to about 1psi of boost which your engine definitely benefits from. This is not the tornado or some cheap imitation, these guys developed this product to do autoX on the CA road race courses. They use it on Audis, Hondas, Porches, and many other vehicles. They do have a guarantee and it is 4-6% increases not 5hp. If you have 190hp with a few mods this is along the lines of 8-10 hp conservatively. When I installed mine I felt an immediate difference in lower gears the torque was great and my car got to the redline much faster. Think about it.
Re: Think Before you SPEAK
Yeah maybe I was worng on th technical aspects, but thats because the product still is not worth the price is boasts IMO. Personally Im just speaking off experience since, there was a guy in DC with one on his 3rd gen and I wasn't impressed with the "increase" at all. Yes there is an increase, BUT you can do much more with $300 than spend it on that, but thats my opinion and I would think the the other mods you are using in conjunction would affect the final HP outcome as well!! and check their homepage look at the big red and white banner at the top of the page, I think that says "5 to 15 more hp garunteed"......and also in their dyno I only saw the Honda gain about 4hp, IMO thats pretty good for at the wheel HP increases, but I can pay $255 and get a Y-pipe and net around a 10hp gain, maybe after all the mods are done I'll consider getting and "electric s/c"!!!! and one last question did you ever compare the revs with the CAI alone and then with the e-ram, was the difference that significant??

If he had an auto VG with little or no mods maybe your right. I already had all the mods short of a custom s/c, turbo or N20 and I was looking for something easy and efficient. I noticed an immediate differenc with the unit attached to my CAI. I have my stock foglights removed. I have cut a piece of black roof flashing to form a ram air effect while also cutting out some of the soft plastic bumper material behind the foglight. This direct air towards my CAI. It worked well with my exhaust and other mods but the E-ram was a complement to all of these. With the hondas benefit I am not sure which model you are talking about but if was a basic civic 4-6% is not as much on a car with closer to 130hp as it is to my 190hp stock. Like you stated a Y-pipe is better bang for the buck but after you have one you must look for that next ponie. Thanks for you feedback. I have a question for you? I am doing a JWT N20 upgrade. I currently have 150k miles I did a compression test and all cylinders were 165-170psi which is like new. I am pretty sure that this JWT system is designed for a 65 shot but it could handle more right. I want a walbro fuel pump but am not sure which model to get or where to buy. I would like to possibly get closer to the 75 or more in the future let me know. Later.

Yeah, I undertand what you're saying....
I didn't really want to come off downing the E-ram product as much as I did in the first reply, but for the price I just don't see the worth in it being a truly effective "first or so" mod, once again, just my opinion! but with the exhaust I would think there would be some improvements, anyways thats old news, now on to the nitrous!!
As for a Walbro pump, yup they are pretty hard to find you can check their site <b> http://web.walbro.com/product/auto_pro/el_fpump.htm</b> and try calling them up to find a local distributor and you can also check Lightning Motorsports <b>www.lightningmotorsports.com</b>, they advertise that they carry Walbro fuel pumps (in their fuel delivery section), but I don't see it on their website yet, so best bets are to call them up too!! As for the situation with the JWT NO2 chips personally I couldn't see why you couldn't run a 75 shot in the 65 shot designed chip(since another 3rd genner THE MAX is running 80shots on his STOCK ECU w/ no probs!!!), but you might wanna make sure by calling. I talked to them last summer, about the nitrous kit(which I would've had except the tranny blew!!
), they are really helpful and have the real "know-how" to explain. One person you might wanna contact are <b>THE MAX (artstar@optushome.com.au)</b>, he really helped me understand a lot on the nitrous stuff including a couple extras to keep the system and the car running right and plus he's using the Walbro pump and would be your best source for that part number and price, shoot him an email I'm sure he'll be glad to help out too! let me know how everything turns out once you get all this straight!

Better and cheaper
my friend told me about this other supercharger he just got that is a lot cheaper and is easy to install and he said he likes it a lot.... go to http://www.spiralmax.com and tell me what you think
Well.....
I wouldn't touch any product that has this type of garuntee:
and I quote from their site: "<b>0</b> to 35 increase in horsepower" right, okay 35hp gap, hmmmm......and so after you buy it and find out you got no hp increase, then what......
they could have at least lied, I wouldn't touch this thing!!! the reason it costs a lot less is because it isn't even up to par with the design of the E-ram. All this thing is, is a fan the swirls when the air comes into the intake, but the E-ram is powered by a 12v source and is activated when you hit WOT, thus since its powered it supposedly pulls in more air and creates 1psi of boost(according to them) which I could see adding on HP in conjunction with other mods! as for the Tornado thing, I'd pass it up, if you want to go with one of those "intake" s/c's go with the E-ram, though I don't see it making extremely large and vast improvements I do see it being much more WORTHWHILE than that thing. Trust me avoid this product, you can ask the guys in the main board who have had it or seen it in action...they'll say the same!

Speaking of Walbro pump
You might have to get a aftermarket adj fuel pressure regulator because the stock piece wont be able to handle the flow/pressure from the Walbro pump
