Hmmm

This is strange. I thought maybe it was a '91 SE misprint with the grille that was changed, but if you look closely in the engine compartment, there's the yellow AIR BAG warning stickers on the firewall and in front of the radiator. As many of you folks know, 1992 was the first year for an air bag. Something is strange.

In his discription he mentions nothing about an engine change. Also I thought it was very difficult to swap a VE and a VG. And you would think it would be hard to change the black moldings. I would like to know if it has Se tailights and white faced gauges. What else does an SE come with that a GXE doesnt. in the pics you can see wheels, mirrors, grill, and black trim. I emailed the guy and asked him what was up. maybe this is a very unique and rare 92 SE VG.

At least 2 different cars pictured...

All those pics aren't of the same car. On the pic of the engine, the drivers door has chrome trim around it...and the car is black with no pin stripe. The pic of the front 3/4 looks be be dark grey, with no pin stripe, the side view is of a black car WITH a pinstripe.

I HIGHLY doubt he swapped in a VG for a VE...that just does not make any sense whatsoever...

ummm...if we had a rear shot we could see tails and the exhaust...dual tip for an SE but again easy swap....i really just think its a 92GXE but would this person really go that far to make it look like an SE?

and thats why he blacked out the grill on the picture. because it was actually a chrome gxe grill.

Shannanigans!!!!

Can't you tell E-bay about it? IF we all group up and flood their e-mail (just kidding) we could get something accomplished **please note sarcasm***
Seriously, someone should tell ebay...

I think it's more like someone should contact the seller and inform them that using pics from other cars isn't acceptable, and that they sould take all the pics from the particular car for sale.

you don't have to mention that they have a VG in the picture.. the first part will most likely be enough to scare them into pulling the auction.

i thik its a 92 gxe, i think pic 1, 3,4 are the same car, and number 2 is the odd one out. He painted some crap over the chrome grill in pic 1, and the mirrors in 4 arent SE cause their body color. so its a gxe with a spoiler and SE rims. you dont see the chrome around the windows in 3 becasue its too far away i bet, but you see it in pic 4. cheap bastard

No ABS

This car claims to have ABS, but the abs unit is missing from where it is in my REAL 92 SE 5sp, in the pass. front of the engine compartment between the windshield washer reservior and the power steering reservior. This is wrong and they should pull this auction.

Also look in the background of the pics.. in a couple you'll see another max right beside it..
I'm sure the guy posting the car for auction didn't remember which pics were which car, thus he just threw sometthing together and figured people would be stupid.

The seller emailed me back.....

I emailed the seller and called him on his pictures and he stands by his pictures according to this reply:

>My car is exactly as the one on the picture. The first >picture is my 92 maxima se.

hey guys, according to my local dealer, late 91's are considered 92's and have the VG engine. that's why i have to give the production date on my 92 VE when i get parts. just what he said.

thats weird to consider a 91 model a 92 since they changed so much in 92.
