I've been running 80w/100w APC Xenon bulbs for months now. I have recently noticed that every time I get in the car to go somewhere, one of the headlights are out. I would open the hood and jiggle the connectors a little and the light would turn on. After a few weeks, I noticed that I needed to do this almost everytime I turned them on. I then switched the bubls and they worked fine for a while. Then they started to do it again after a few days. I took a look at the plugs and one side of each of looked like they were shorted out. I heard that I need to do some kind of rewire for the bulbs. I also heard that there may be some kind of an adapter for bulbs too. Can anyone tell me how to rewire the plugs and what i need to do to fix and prevent this? Thanx people!

Yup, happended to me too..........

same symptoms, it's probably more than just the harness! its probably the switch too, it cost me $150 parts included to replace it at a local elctronics shop.

i got some 3A racing performance bulbs from pep boys...only $30. they are really great too and stock wattage. the lights are now super white and actually do give more visibility. i thought i would be disappointed but i'm really impressed.

I think that stock wattage is 45w/65w. HID would be nice, but beam pattern sux. and so does price.

duh
higer wattage will melt wires
no matter what car its in
unless you add relays to the system
you can get new plugs at a local parts store. 4 bucks each i think
STOP USING AFTERMARKET LIGHTS
stock wattage or not, if they are not white. persay factory color, they will melt wires
colors = higher temps = melted plugs
i have been there with my 92 se
BTW a complete new plug and wiring from nissan is 500 bucks a side
=o)
