I have an NOS Dry kit. Cost is ~$500 w/o install. It works great. I have no info on ZEX. NOS is the leader in nitrous technology. Allot of honda guys use ZEX, check with them.

The draw back with ZEX is that you can only go up to 75hp, I think. With the NOS kit you can go as high as your motor can take.

NOS cooked my 240sx engine

NOS uses a mechanical throttle switch, which after 3 months of fun, got stuck. With the NOS system, you have to be over 2000 rpms, before you can activate it, or it can damage the engine. When you actvate the arming switch nothing happens until you are full throttle. When the throttle switch jammed up, I was sitting at idle, and when I hit the arming switch, the juice just shot into my engine, the car actually shook for a few seconds, until I realized what was wrong, and I turned it off. It was to late, my engine was cooked, and began to idle at over 2000 rpms. Damage was at $1500. The 240 was never the same and I sold it the following year and bought my Maxima.

If your going to go Nitro, use the NEX system, it uses no throttle switch. NEX uses your throttle voltage to come on, so no jamming of mechanical parts. Also, I like that it dosn't use your fuel system to regulate nitros flow.

NOS offers a TPS voltage switch now also as a seperate item. I have used the NOS mechanical switch for many years and not had a problem.

What happend to your 240 sucks! Thats exactly why I dont use a rocker switch to control/arm the nitrous. I use a small push button switch that I hold in my hand or strap to the shifter. I can select to use it in any gear at any time. Not just when I floor it. Its really nice, because after using it in second gear I may not need to use the nitrous in third gear if I'm far enough ahead.

For saftey controlls/switches I use an RPM window switch, fuel pressure hobs switch set at 80psi, mechanical wide open throttle switch, and the push button switch. Its a little bit of over kill, but better safe than sorry.

MardiGrasMax, how fast is your Max?

Your Max must be a rocket! You understand though, I just can't go back to NOS, even if they do make a safer system now. I'm about to purchase this NEX system, but I'm only going to set it up for a 55 shot. Do you think I need to upgrade my fuel pump, or will the stock pump be able to handle a 55 shot with out running to lean?

the fuel pump is a recomended upgrade for saftey. The stock pump probably will handle 55hp (~60psi of fuel pressure), but a $120 investment in a pump is not a bad idea.

look here for a thread on the pump.

The closest track to me is about an hour on the interstate so I havent timed it yet. But it sure does feel fast
