What's wrong with mechanics at dealerships?

the Nissan dealership in Santa Monica must have ex-cons and mental patients working there. About a month ago I have my alternator changed for free because of the recall and ever since then I've noticed a strange buzzing/humming noise coming from the engine bay. Finally, I got some time to do some maintainance on my car so I peak under my hood and guess what I find?? YES! You've guessed it! Another little present from the morons at the stealership, a bolt sooooo loose that it looked as if it was tightened about two turns and then the mechanic gave up because of the complexity of the procedure. It was hangin by 3 or 4 threads. And I'm absolutely positive it didn't loosen by itself because as soon as I tightened this bolt the mysterious noise went away and there seemed to be plenty of friction/resistance when I screwed it all the way in. I'm pretty used to seeing loose bolts and super over-torqued ones as well. I had my tire repaired at Big-O tires 2 weeks ago and when I tried to rotate my tires I stripped 2 bolts trying to get the lug nuts off. I was practically jumping on my 24 inch breaker bar.

So, what's going on here? Are these mechanics really lazy or really stupid??

Just venting....

file a complain

Why don't you file a complain at the dealership, every time I take my Altima or my I30 to my dealership they call me back 1-2 weeks later to get my opinion on recently work done on my cars, if your dealership is not doing this they must do, otherwise talk with the Manager of the dealership and let him know all your problems, car service related, of course, don't let that stupid actions pass with no action on your side !

Some shops dont require their techs to have any Ase test completed. I have noticed that when Techs dont get their hours in for the week they **** on their jobs and dont feel like doing anyhitng. Also one thing that does drive tech crazy it people coming in for one thing and or just a simple thing. They recommend lots of work for the car and then they get somethign little as LOF or a alternator change. They look for the big tickets and nothing else. I as a tech dont agree with this at all. I have seen alot of dumb **** since i started to work for Nissan and I can see why car techs have such a bad name. Honestly I would never have anyone work on my car especially a nissan tech that has been at work for 8 hours and has 1.4 hours on his ticket for the day
