I'm thinking about getting a Hayden oil cooler to improve the performance and protection of my engine. I was wondering for those who have them, How do you install? From what I can imagine, you remove the stock oil filter and attach an adapter that connects to a hose leading to the oil cooler. Then another hose goes rom the oil cooler to the remote oil filter and back to the adapter. Is this correct? And if so, do you have to replace the filter with a special filter, or can you use any other kind. The hayden remote oil filters are like $40. I was hoping you could still use a $5 one or a Genuine Nissan filter. Thanks.
