Just got a call from my dealer regarding the hard shift from out of park. He says my front and rear engine mounts on my 99 SE-L are cracked and need to be replaced. (under warranty)Now I know I have electronic- liquid filled mounts.I am figuring it is the same as a 98 SE right? Thats where I got the specs from. Is there anyway that the dealer can "mess up" and put the cheaper rubber GXE motor mounts on there? He said it is impossible to put any other type of motor mount other than what is in there. I really don't trust him, bu my car is in there already. From what I know, there are rubber mounts, electronic liquid filled motor mounts and regualr liquid filled motor mounts. Am i correct? I am scared they are goona put in some cheaper stuff. Shoudl I be worried? If he did put the non electronic mount up front, the CEL would light right? I wish I wasnt so paranoid but the dealer is a shady bastard and my car is there for the night captive.

 

Even if they did put the GXE mounts in (which I doubt they would), you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
