ATTN: Lowering springs w/ stock shocks?
the stock shocks are not valved high enough to be matched with higher sprung springs, so they will fail prematurely. I would recommend upgrading to higher valved shocks.
Once the stock shocks blow, then the ride becomes even more bouncy and harsh.

Got Rice? is correct. I've been in several cars with Sprint lowering springs with stock shocks and the ride is smooth if the road is smooth, but once you drive on a road that is uneven or bumpy, then prepare for a harsh ride.
wait a minute.....sprint springs? i thought these were discontinued a couple of years back. what is the drop on them? my brothers car has sprint with stock struts and its really smooth. i have intrax with the stock struts, kinda bouncy, but i dont mind it and i'm getting tokicos soon.
If you are still running your stock shocks, I bet they are long been worn out. I would seriously just save up until you have enough to buy shocks and have them installed all at once.

the sprint springs lower your car 1.8 inches.....the reason why was planning on keeping the stock shocks is because i heard that the ride is much less harsh.....is this true?....and when my stock shocks blow out, cant i just get another set of shocks at a nissan dealer (it would be cheaper)
Let me save you from some mistkes. I assume your shocks are stock and are the original ones. Trust me they are worn out already. Putting those springs that lower the car THAT much will beat the hell out of those already worn out shocks. You will be bouncing all over the place. And getting oem shocks from Nissan is NOT cheaper but more expensive. Try http://www.shox.com, and price KYB or Tokicos or Konis. Those guys reply really fast. And if you install the springs and then do the shocks later, will have to pay 2x the installation costs.

it would probably be less harsh assuming the stock struts were new. tokicos and konis would be much firmer. but since your stock struts arent new then it probably would be more harsh and you should probably get some new ones. when they do blow out then you could get another set from a dealer but they wouldnt last very long. where did you get the sprint from? how much?

I just got my struts replaced about two months ago and am about to add Eibach springs to my car. They guy at the place I bought the springs at said that as long as they are a premium strut and aren't old and worn out, you can put lowering springs on with no problem. This was also confirmed by the technician at the place where I got my struts done. So I would agree with everyone else here in saying that you need to get struts done first. I don't know exactly what brand my struts are, but they cost as much at Konis and Tokicos so I know they're not cheap ****.

i ordered my springs from a shop near me....i paid $198 for the springs (but i got hooked up) so your probably gonna pay more.....and as for the shocks .....the guy at the shop said that if i had stock struts w/ lowering springs...then the ride will be the same as if i had all stock suspension (except better handling etc.), but the shocks wont last as long...
