Need an `88 for parts or fix?

Greetings all,

I have an `88 SE that I'm not going to repair. Everything is good on this car except the transmission or torque convertor. There is no drive. I'm cutting my losses and it's on ebay at

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6400

I actually have a `91 and and `01 SE

There's no reserve and the starting bid is 50.00. I'm almost giving this car away if you come get it.

Same here. Since its needs a tranny...I'd do a 5-speed conversion with a third gen tranny. Oh well.

Hmm you wouldnt be interested in parting it out would you? I could use the trunklid and factory deck, as well as a few other pieces. Im not sure how much you are gonna get for it but if you sold those to me and a few other interior items a junkyard would probably give you 50, let me know. If you cant I understand, just figured Id ask. Im willing to pay a pretty penny, see what you can do.

I had thought of parting it out, but I really don't have a place to the keep the car as it becomes a carcas.

Why can I never luck out and have any of these cars become available within a 3-4 hours drive of me? ARGH!

So when you say, "car has no drive", does that mean it has other gears, like 1st, 2nd, and reverse? Or do you mean that the transmission doesn't do anything?

Right...the transmission does nothing, in any gear.
