Starter sticking sound? Read this.

I was getting a grinding sound when starting especially when it was cooler out (live in Fl). Starter would stick for a second after motor already started just as if you turned it over with the motor running. Well anyway I just replaced my battery and its gone now. Not to say it is the remedy for everybody experiencing this problem but it could be. I know alot of us have had that problem so maybe this will help.

It shall return.

Your battery plays no role in the bendix gear hanging up. You need to regrease your starter to fix that.

That sucks. Then how is it that it stopped since the replacement of the battery.

Coincidence

The starter regrease is pretty simple so if it acts up again you can taek care of it.

Check your wire connections! They are loose or have dirty connection. Trust me on this one
