Ok, so even though I will have a new car in less than 2 months, I will be keeping the max also.

Im not gonna do any more preformance mods, but i do want to add an alarm (something I should have done a long time ago).

I will probally go to Best Buy or Circuit City, can anyone recommend one?
The only features im really looking for are.. windows and trunk, engine kill, remote locks, i would like remote start if not too expensive.
Thanks in advance...

I work at Circuit City, but not in the car stereo dept. I just bought the viper 800esp, or something like that. It's like 400 something. It's gonna be installed in a few days. From what I hear it's a really good alarm. I got all the accessories but the pager and voice command. I'll let you know how the alarm is when I get it installed. They said it's gonna take 2 days, b/c I wanted all 4 of the windows to go up and down and the sunroof to open and close too.

That sounds really cool, let me know how you like it. Also, what features does it comewith besides the windows?

Clifford all the way

I've got a Clifford, and ya know it just can't be beat. I mean I can hook this baby up to a laptop to tweak with it! That's something that I'll probably never take advantage of. Oh well. I don't really know what sort of small shops you have around there. In Seattle we have Magnolia Hi-Fi and Car Toys. I would much rather choose one of those before one of the "Big Box Stores". I have the Intelliguard 7000.

I have a Clifford on the Stanza but not the Max. Kinda ironic because I have an alarm for car that is least likely to be stolen but I don't have one for a Max yet.

Check out Buzz Off Alarms... They'll probably be competitive on price, and I think they match competing offers too.

They're kinda obnoxious on the interpersonal front, I think, but their heart's in the right place (doing an excellent job), and I feel that they do the best jobs on Alarms in Tampa. (I've had 3 cars armed by them since 1992)

check out the new crimestopper CS-2005FM full function alarm with remote starter. on the remote it self it has a lcd that keeps in contact with your car. it also beeps when your alarm goes off and tells you why. i have it and love it. the best thing is starting your car from 3 blocks away. it uses a fm signal so it has 10 time more range than a viper or clifford. they sell this alarm around here with-out installation for $399 with 1 remote. if u want one i can get them for $275 + shipping with 2 remotes. this alarm is fast to inst. unlike other alarms that have 2 or 3 brains or uses 5 relays added to the brain to remote start the car, this alarm has 1 small brain that controlls everything. check it out at http://www.crimestopper.com

I really dont know how any of these alarms/remote starters rank but I really like the ones from Bulldog Security. (www.bulldogsecurity.com) Someone on here got one and I have been looking at them ever since. If they are bad please tell me because I dont wan't to buy a piece of junk. If you are interested they sell for pretty cheap on e-bay. I havn't found another place to buy them from besides their own website. Good luck.

Just to clarify... in case anyone's wondering... Buzz Off Alarms is a Dealer, not a brand of Alarm... they sell the DEI line (Python, Viper, etc..), and perhaps others...

bulldog is not ranked very high, i would go with a better known alarm company.
