SE03 vs. acura tl

im one of the unlucky ones who has an SE03 automatic, can anyone tell me what times the automatic runs 0-60?? it seems all talk is on the
6-speed

and

can an automatic se take a 3.2 TL or a type-s on the 0-60 or for the long haul....i was cruising at 80 with an normal TL, wasn't sure to race or not?? these acura boyz r getting very pesky

The Max could torch a regular TL.

I don't espouse street racing at all, but a Max vs. a TL Type S would be a great race. The specs on the two cars are very similar.

I have a 2k maxima gxe auto. I raced this 00tl a week ago and raped him. He said he was heavly modded. Then i raced this 03 tl type s yesterday. Both races were from a stop. Well this race was a little different. I had about half a car on him to about 60 then he started to pull ahead. I guess that is when his 260hp finally kicked in. From the line to 60 i beat all tls. Then on the type s wins.

It's a drivers race. Both cars are pretty much dead equal. The Max will almost always win off the line due to it's torque, but the vtec will kick in on the TL type S in the upper rpm range.

Agree with andrew3616...
I have a 2K SE Auto w/mods (ref profile). Even our 2K's can take on either TL to 60. The Type-S will pull away a bit after 70mph as in my experience. However I have since removed the two exhaust kinks fore and aft of the resonator and I've noticed it helps the VQ30DE get through the WOT shifts. The 02-03's have TL's for lunch or dinner anytime. The 00-01's need some mods first.

Can't attest to the Type S but my 95 5 speed with a Y pipe and intake smoked a TL from a 30 mph roll up to over 100. (we were getting on the hwy side by side and my lane was going to end and this guy punched it to be an a**hole and I beat him to the entrance.

Any of you guys with cartest can figure out who will win (if the cars were driven to their potential). Just make sure you get all your parameters set up correctly. I know that I'm personally barely ahead of a Type S Auto in the 1/4, but I also weigh a bit more than the average driver (220 vs 175). I also have the sh!tty stock tires on, which scream like a banshee at the drop of a hat. If I cut off one of my arms (I do have an auto ), it'd be a better race (for me). Maybe I should stop working out and start running marathons to drop down to a better "race" weight.

I can see it now, a new trend of mid twenties men with anorexia due to trying to get their cars to go faster...

02/03 automatic vs Type-S

0-60: advantage Maxima, better torque
70-95: advantage Type-S, much shorter 3rd gear
1/4 mile: dead even
95-110: advantage still Type-S, much shorter 3rd gear
110+: advantage back to Maxima, max still hauling in 3rd, Acura now in very tall 4th.

In my experience, that sounds about right.
