Quickly though ...
RSB - rear sway bar
FSTB - front strut tower bar / brace
Generally .. I think the consensus is a y-pipe & intake will be the best bang for your buck. Check out www.frankencar.com for the intake and you can also consider a used y-pipe ... Cattman, Stillen, Budget, Brullen & Warpspeed are all vying for your y-pipe dollars

I would start with the little stuff and work your way up.. If you don't wanna spend a lotta money on Stillen FSTB and RSB then goto ebay and get one of those.. I would go with the fstb,rsb,intake,y-pipe,cat-back w/exhaust.. etc..

Yeah I love the cf hood.. The only thing is fitment is not 100% but you can only tell if you examine the car.. I also gotta find some stainless steels screws for the hood pins cuz mines keep rusting..
As you are by now no doubt aware by now, FSTB front strut tower bar & RSB rear sway/stabilizer bar. In short, the FSTB works with the front stabilizer bars to keep the front of the car flatter on the road when you turn, giving your tires a better bite. The RSB does the same thing for the rear, also keeps it tigher to the road over small bumps. These are two of the least expensive upgrades you can make. FSTB run between $15 - $185, a good one will cost you about $60. RSB run about $130 - $290, with the most common one, ADDCO, at $130. Both are installable with basic tools by an average Maxima owner.
As for Y-pipe and Cat-back, a Y-pipe is the exhaust pipe that connects the two exhaust manifolds together. A good one can make a significant difference in how free-flowing your exhaust is and get you a couple of extra horsepower. A Cat-back is that part of your exhaust system from the catalytic convertor to the tailpipe. Again, a good one can gain you some horsepower, although usually at the expense of more noise. These are more money (and vary widely in price), and although not especially difficult, probably are not your average Saturday afternoon project (yeah, I know, some of you can do it in an afternoon, but I count you as above average).
Hope this helps.
