i was going to get some for my 95 charcoal grey max but noticed this...
i want black chrome so it kinda blends in but the chrome is gonna throw it off

anyone have a solution for this? what can i do to make that chrome ring be black?

get gen 2 altezza.. they have the black around the border... looks good on dark cars...

(someone is gonna tell you to get red/clears on this thread)

I had them.. didn't like them much..

 

Get creative with some masking tape, then shoot the chrome part with some black spray paint.

 

well i wanted the black chrome gen 2 altezzas... but they dont have them for 95 max's
and i am actually thinkin of gettin red and clears
but i like the black chrome and carbon fiber look of the altezzas, im not a big fan of the all chrome ones cause they will look odd on my car

and the masking tape idea does sound good... hmmmm

Since it was painted on the inside I used a high gloss paint. So yes regular spray paint.

 

i didn't think you could open them?!? everyone else i've seen that has painted them did the outside. ravq, do you have those or the red/clears like in your sig?

 

It's practically impossible to get the outer parts open. The inner parts were simple. That's why people don't even attempt to. I tried to when the altezzas first came out and failed to get the outers open. They don't come apart like the OEM ones do. I now have red/clears since I don't like regular altezzas.
