finally got around to mounting the guages

used the hks din unit and lots of dremeling

Very nice. That's how I've got mine. I used a sheet of acrylic plastic and had one of our machinists cut it to size and mill out the holes on a CNC milling machine.

arent these 52mm guages? why did you have to dremel?

Because the HKS panel accomodates 43 mm.
