Q: What to look for in a door lubrifier
Q: What to look for in a door lubrifier
Well, most of my doors feel like a 200 pound brick, gotta lube-em!
What should I be looking for. I would look for some graphite stuff, preferably dry. I am just worried about the graphite shorting out stuff.
Comments?

OK, guys. Let's cut Bert some slack. English is not his native language and he probably doesn't speak it very much day-to-day. In his language you amplificate (not amplify) and you lubrificate (as opposed to lubricate)....
OK, Well my drivers door was sticking so I used white lithium and it made it worse. The grease is thick and wouldn't allow the door to open smoothly. I like for my doors to shut and open as if they weigh a ounce. So, I wiped off all the white lithium and used WD-40 on the hinges and the black piston type thing( I am sorry I have no idea what this part is called). Since the WD-40 is more of a liquid it enabled the hinge to move faster. Worked for me!
Problem with WD-40 is that it is a degreaser and sort of a desicant. The only thing I use WD-40 for is to remove glue and tape. I would recommend the White Lithium Grease, this is what Nissan uses and is available at any auto parts store. I got my WLG from my buddy he owns a bike shop so I got it free. Any sythetic grease would work great cause its more stable. Chris

I would also recommend white lithium grease, for your doors.
