How do I properly change my Auto Trans. Fluid?
How do I properly change my Auto Trans. Fluid?
Is it just a matter of:
1) Warming up engine to idle temp.
2) Opening A/T fluid cap and remove drain plug
3) Replace drain plug and fill revervoir in engine bay
4) Recheck after 5 minutes of driving
5) Replace only the same amount that drains
If this is it then how would I do a complet flush? Any suggestions would be helpful. Also what tranny oil is good?

With your directions you would be doing just a drain a fill.. Remember since your auto there is a lot of fluid that gets stuck in the torque converter. I think like 1qt or less. Somewhere around there. The only way to do a complete flush is to take to a place that has the machine that will flush out your system with the new fluid.. Other then that your dir's will work for a drain/refill
