Trenz Aluminum Grille Insert

I'm interested in a trenz aluminum grille insert for my '96 Maxima SE and I was looking at the pictures at custommaxima.com and noticed how they stick out and look seperated from the car or something. What I'm basically trying to say is that do you think these grilles look good or bad on maximas? Also, do you know of any other grilles that would look nice?

i think the stillen SMX looks great but is too damn expensive! I think the cheapest i have seen it is like $170. Painting the stock grill silver is cheap and looks great IMO. I would do that and maybe put mesh in the bottum opening. Trenz grills look really good on hooked up maxima's with body kits and such, but not as good on ones that a near stock.

How do I paint it silver (like what paint do I use, and can I take the grille out to paint it, etc.)? Also, where do I get mesh grilles for the bottom part that take into consideration the fact that there is a license plate that separates these two bottom grilles in the middle.

You can buy a two peice lower mesh grille from http://www.grille-tech.com for $60. Or you could make your own. And yes you can remove the upper grill to paint it check out this how to for making your own upper mesh grille, it tell how to remove the old one http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...pid=38&page=1. I am not really sure about what paint to use, maybe someone else can comment on that.

What I mean is that you know when you go to grille-tech.com and find the lower mesh grille for the 4th gen. maxima, the pictures it shows are of cars that have no license plate in the front, in which both grilles are two full pieces. What my car will need is really four pieces because the license plate in the middle separates these grilles into the left part and the right part, instead of just one full grille. You know what I'm saying? What I want to know is do can these grille inserts fit my maxima with a license plate?

Is the first picture in the top post only painted stock grill? It looks pretty good IMO. I'll maybe do that to complete my two mesh grill at the bottom. Anybody know what colour he use in the picture?

Yeah its just a stock grill painted silver. I looks really good though, like an aftermarket grill. Personally i think that it looks better than a mesh grill up top. But i do however like the look of mesh in the two bottum openings. I think it would look good if you painted it and had the mesh on the bottum. As for the license plate issue. I honestly have no idea. I would think that it would not effect it, but i really dont know. You could always just not put on the fron license plate.

Would I have to paint my bottom mesh to match the top one(if I do paint the top part)? or aluminum grill for the bottom part with silver top grill will look okay?

I personally think that it would look fine, as long as the bottum grill is not dull. I wonder if anyone has done this and has pics?
