Stripped the threading into the SC....am I screwed?
So, in the first of what I hope won't be many bone-headed moves, I stripped one of the holes used for mounting the SC to the plate. The one I stripped is the center hole in the back of the SC...the shortest of all the bolts.
Now, the hole doens't appear to need a bolt in it (not like an oil drain), and if there would be any that wouldn't be needed, I would think it would be that one.
Can I continue without it? I'm going to leave the bolt in to help with weight support, but it won't help hold the SC tight to the plate.

it's ok, mine's stripped too. you can wrap it with some teflon tape and push it in there.

since its the center one dont worry about it. Your not the only one riding around with a loose bolt. Someone else has that center bolt loose. Its a blower I worked on that was shimmed. the bolt is just there for show
