Bought a 4th gen Max....Paint Questions

I just traded my 89 Max for a 99 GLE last week. Icelandic pearl, charcoal leather, 48K miles. love it! There are a few very small paint chips on the hood of the car. one appears to have some rust in it. what is the best way to fix these? How should I get the rust out? What is the best touch up paint? I'm not really familiar with paint lingo, so try to be specific. Thanks!

You can even try the touch up paint that the Nissan Dealerships sells.. that's what I used for the small knicks and chips I had on my black max...

I would say just use factory touch-up.

I take it you have some factory warranty left (5/60) and also the warranty from your purchase (sounds like you got it from the dealer). Because your mileage is so low perhaps the prev owner may not have repaired some issues, so you should check:

oil pressure sender--orig one leaks, cheap fix but might as well do it under warranty

side air bags--98 has problem, not sure about 99, if not under warranty $$$

not sure if alternator recall is for 99

check your power steering rack!!! If it's leaking, it's a golden opportunity to get that replaced under your 30-day/1000 mile warranty!

the fake wood trim has a way of totally getting moisture between the plastic and the fake wood

any tears in the vinyl, look around the headrests

GOOD LUCK!! You got the LCD ODO so the low mileage should be legit!
