I went by local dealership today, and grabbed one of their service menu brochures.

I notice under 15,000 - 45,000 - 75,000 service plan, $239.95, they list "Install Daytona Fuel Treatment".

What is that? I thought the manual states not to add any kind of fuel additive.

It is also listed under the 30,000 - 60,000 - 90,0000, for $369.95, the list service plan "Install Daytona Fueld additive".

Under the 3,750 (3 month) service, for $24.95, they will "ubricate hood, decklid, and door hinges". I'm quite sure they will do that AND it will need to be done. Just filler to justify the overpriced oil change.

Fuel Additives are generally worthless...as are oil additives. Not worth it.

The finance guy gave me the same list when I bought my car.
It also lists the "add oil additive & fuel treatment" which is probably marketing fluff to justify the price of the service. HOWEVER my brochure says $ 169.95 for the 15K,45K service. The 3,750 mile oil change is $ 19.95 for Castrol GTX - $ 49.95 for Castrol Syntec. I guess the dealers charge whatever they feel they can get in theit area.
