That is one helluva gauge pod. Looks almost ****pit like. Definetely ****pit memories for you.

How are you mounting it? Are you pulling/screwing into the dash or right now velco/tape method?

Your customization skills just simply amaze me in all the "different" things you keep doing to set yourself apart from others.

Ok BigDogJonx it is attached with superviser....2 face tape.

Conrad283 no it dous not flip up I did not want to cut the dash.

I was looking for someone that makes software and sensors to read on a computer. to put in a 8" touch screen moniter inthere instead. But no one make anything like that yet.

Can you imagine. Have the guages on the screen, watch a DVD, use GPS.
Maybe in the near future.

I'd like to do something like that, but put a 7 inch screen for navi and dvd in it...think it's doable?

Hmm...wasn't someone looking into having a computer system in the max? Maybe that can be tapped in with gauges and have it display on that. I'm sure it would be possible....hmmmm

Whos going to write the code for this? You would have to get the info from electronic sending units, convert that info and be able to show it on the screen. If someone made a program to display it in a TV RF signal, then it could be easier to hookup except you would have to be running a TV tuner. But still to design that program aint no joke.

I went to the link but it does not say what you can moniter or if you ca display on any moniter. I would like to use the 8" Kenwood touch screen.

it can measure all of the usual specs...pressure(oil, boost, fuel), temperature, etc. you get my drift...its only special order now through associated dealers, but HKS carries all the parts to make it work!!-->

if that doesn't work just goto HKSusa.com and look under "meters"

I did it so that it was not so that you could not tell from outside the car...like the 3 guage A-pillar pod.

Hmmmmmn.....ok, but

I'd have lost the clock(buy a watch!) and cut that thing down to about half its size.

I've seen a 300Z in some magazine that had something similar, but smaller probably Stillens':

Another:

VERY very nice idea though! It's just a little too big. If someone can MASS produce something like these, but smaller, I think they would sell fast.

Gabriel.

DAMN IT!!!! someone got to my idea first. I've been designing one that I'm planning on constructing once I get my car back. Much smaller, it will be a single din sized, that holds 3 guages, at a slight angle to the driver.
Oh well, guess its time for me to come up with something else original......

latinmax, looks nice!

anyone... it's set kind of high, and with a 7" screen playing a DVD, don't you think that will be a cop magnet??? You'd get pulled over ever few hundred feet and ticketed out the a** if you actually used it for viewing a DVD while driving.

We got a couple of software engineers working on software the monitors all engine sensors through the obd-ii port and you can create any gauge configuration you want...analog type, linear, graphical whatever you want. Also a hardware engineer designing an interface box that has a bank of relays an i/o that will alow you to monitor any aftermarket sensors that you might add. I will be pretty sweet. But we might need someone to build pods for the touchscreens. Oh and it will hav nav, dvd, mp3, tv, fm tuner ect. All with a user confugurable front end
Peace
