2K3 Rubber Cover Front Underside

Hi,

I am new to the forum and have a question to ask since I cannot currently use the search feature.

I noticed something hanging down behind the front bumper this morning on my 2K3 Maxima. After a closer look, it is some sort of rubber cover that spans the entire width of the car underneath the front of the engine. It is hanging down in one area where it looks like there is no plastic tab holding it on. It also looks like the place where this tab is supposed to be is torn.

Has anyone else here had this happen before, and if so what is involved in getting it repaired?

Thanks!

simple..if its torn, replace it...get it at Nissan..its only held on by a couple fasteners that pop right in

How much do they cost approx? Is it crucial to get replaced right away? Thanks!

Its the factory splash guard. Ususally what rips them is those parking stanchions (the wegde shaped block w/ the two iron bars in it). Sometimes if you let the front wheels hit it, the iron bars will scrape and tear the cover. Just take the car to the dealership and they will fix/replace it. Good luck
