Need advice on installing A dead Pedal

I got a dead pedal I need to install from the OBX Type R group deal. However, is it safe to just drill it in there? Is there something that will hold it in place. I don't feel comfortable drilling but if you guys say its ok then I will do it. If that is not an option what other ways can you install it. Thanks, David.

u don't need a drill, just get a phillips screwdriver, and use a little force to push and turn.

do what I did, lift the carpet, put a flat piece of wood about a quarter inch thick behind the carpet and then just screw throught the carpet into the wood. it will stay pretty good

I guess they are racing pedals because they are wider then the stock pedals and allow for easire heal toe shifting. However, watch how you space em because I put my break pedal a little more toward the gas and I was hitting the gas and break during regular breaking. Other then that they are great. The foot doesn't slide right off em and they match my aluminum dash kit and floor mats perfectly.
