Momo **** design question

Are Momo ***** threaded to fit our shifters? Do they have an anchoring screw?

For certain applications there is a threaded insert that you can buy, but 99% of the time you just use set screws. I had a Momo race air leather in my cherokee for 2 years and it never losened up. They make those things to last.

The **** that I have has no threads; instead it has 3 hex-head screws at its base; the tips of the screws are sharp and they quickly wore a deep groove into the shifter. Now I can spin the **** and pull it off w/o losening the screws. I want a **** that's threaded!

I have an imitation momoo race air leather **** I bought for $17 on Ebay . It has 3 hex screws too. To make it as tight a fit as possible, and to drop the height, I hacksawed 2" off the stock shifter and then wrapped electrical tape around the top of the shifter until it was a fairly snug fit without the screws. Then I put the screws in real tight - the tape gives them something to tighten against with more purchase than the metal stock shifter.

I love the weight of the new shift ****, plus the round feel.

Did you use the inserts in the **** itself? I used one that was too small fo rmy application and it made things a lot more snug. I drove 30-35K on that shift **** and never had it losen at all. As a matter of fact, it was hard to removen when I sold the XJ.

I still have the shift **** but no 5-speed on which to use it!

hey T-bone, u were supposed to be in a group deal for a momo cobra shift **** but you never replied back and your box was full. What type did u end up getting?

I have momo cobra and it feels fine, no minor movements or anything

Yes, I wish that I had gone with that group deal; I received a momo-'style' as a gift, instead; I have had a lot of fitment issues with it

Can anyone take a picture of the inside of their Momo ****, please? I am curious as to how they are designed.

Also, how is the fitment between a Momo **** and the 2k2/3 shift boot?

Thank you for your help
