Resonator for the stock intake You dont need it.

I heard it was the flux capactitor? The GXE doesn't have one...

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I had to take it off when I installed my Injen.

So..if you remove it, what happens? Good, bad

or indiferent....do you lose of gain power or no change?

you should gain power I think becasuse there is less turbulence or something like that.

H/P Gain

If you remove it your car will be lighter thus a 8 h/p gain which will help get you to 88mph and 1.21 gigawatts faster!

To quiet airflow coming into the intake. It is pointless to remove from your car if you have or don't have an intake. Leave it alone.

Its to absorb N/V/H

I've sealed the tube that leads to it before. The noise increase wasn't there but I could feel more vibration through the gas pedal

you can just remove the elbow piece. I can't remember but please correct me if i am wrong...but the ram air intake thingy is the only air inlet. If you remove the elbow joint that connects the two then you can get better throttle response and a little more hp. The engine sounds a little throatier than before and a little less refined.
