So sad - I'm missing my maxima more than ever :(
So sad - I'm missing my maxima more than ever :(
Last nevember I had to sell my Maxima because the control arms were going out, and it needed a new transmission, and it was coming up on a lot of regular maintenance that I couldn't afford. I knew a mechanic that had offered me $2200 when I was having the transmission checked out, and I sold it to him.
After than, I drove my parents civic, and at the same time, I got a job working with Gateway. I started making substantially more money than I had when I had my Max, so started car hunting again. I ended up buying a '98 200sx SE. NO, it's not a speed demon, but it was in perfect condition. Since then I haven't had any problems with it, it's a nice little car. But, everytime I see a 3rd gen, I think of how nice it was, and I get a little sad.
Today I parked next to this older woman at my college who drives a 1990 SE 5-speed. The paint is in PERFECT condition, and it has a tan leather interior in perfect condition
I started talking to her about it, and she said that she bought it brand new from the local Nissan dealer in late 1989 and she told me it had less than 65k miles on it!!!
She told me it was her "weekend" car.
So anyway, I asked her if she was willing to sell this beauty, and she told me that she was going to keep it until it falls apart
Anyway, sorry about my rambling, it Just miss my max and seeing the woman's nice SE really made it worse.
