My Clutch Pedal Sticks to the Floor
My Clutch Pedal Sticks to the Floor
My 96 Se has been parked the past few days awaiting my Exedy Clutch and I went out to it today and just barely touched the clutch pedal and it sprung to the floor and stuck there. It doesn't disengage the clutch at all. I can bring the pedal back up with my hand. Any idea whats going on?

the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or the oil line is bad. but probably the slave cylinder.

My friend just had the same EXACT problem in his car...they replaced the slave cylinder and all this other stuff, and it still did it ,but then they replaced the pressure plate, and that was what was wrong.

how about if the clutch pedal is too stiff to depress?
what can cause that?
mine has been gradually getting stiffer with time.. it's quite worn, I'd suppose but it grabs like a champ, often too hard..
i'm bleeding the clutch fluid tomorrow.. already changed the MTF.. not sure where to look, it's gotten to a point it's hard to drive the car.

that happened to me after i went through conversion. There's a silver **** that holds the clutch wit some part of the car so when pressed down it comes back up. Maybe that piece fell off. If it did, u can take a paper clip and put it through the hole and it will bring the clutch up when stepped on...if it wasnt so late i would take a pic and show u, its kind of hard to see but if u feel the clutch pedal arm all the way up, u can tell if its missing by feelling a hole somewhere....
